Asif Saeed Khosa is the new Chief Justice of Pakistan. He has succeeded Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, one of the most popular Chief Justices in the history of Pakistan.



Asif Saeed was always hailed as a courageous judge. He is having authority on criminal jurisprudence. In a career spanning around two decades, he has disposed around 55, 000 cases – majority of them being criminal cases. He has never shown any sort of biased attitude in giving verdict, whatsoever.

It is expected that Justice Khosa will maintain the decorum of the Supreme Court. However, he may not follow the footsteps of Justice Nisar of poking his nose in almost all administrative issues. Justice Khosa is known for respecting the independence of Legislature, Executive and Judiciary.

Justice Khosa will remain the Chief Justice till 20th December, 2019.
